I'm Devastated

Well most of my life isn't so exciting. But just had to write a post. Yesterday I go this most devastating news. I got this letter in the mail.,
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you that Dr Phil Louie passed away suddenly on Dec 24,2010. He will be greatly missed....
WHAT!!!!
That was my dentist. He was the most caring and kind, thoughtful dentist. I have had many bad experiences when I was young at the dentist office. So was always so afraid of the dentist. But I was recommended to Dr Louie. That was about 22-25 years ago.I have to honestly say that he was always so caring to his patients and was always asking Are you okay?Is there any pain?He was amazing never felt the needles. All of my kids went to him and have had good experiences with the dentist. I thought that he was the last dentist I would ever need. But that is how uncertain life is. WE never know what is going to happen today, tomorrow or the next day. It has taught me again that life is so uncertain and must life each day with no regrets. Dr Louie was 51 year old with 3 little children. He suffered a stroke and was gone x-mas eve. I am so sad and still can't believe it is true. But they tell me it is......Good bye Dr Louie we will sure miss you.....

Its been a long time

I thought I had this all figured out. I uploaded my pictures and was going to write about them and then poof they were gone. So I will try this again... It seems my children don't think I ever finish a project. They have seen me start many but not complete to many. And I checked out my project bag and have to say they are right. I love the excitement of starting a new projects and learning something new but about half way through get bored and then go on to something else. Anyway this week I was so HAPPY I finished a couple of things. This red/white/black quilt was almost done about 3 years ago. I finished the binding by machine and wasn't happy with it so took it off and then it just sat. So sewed the binding on it and finally finished. Then this fall I learnt the basics of crocheting. Oh I never start with a small project oh no I had to make a throw blanket. So now because I have finished two I can now start two. Just kidding Wade will work at finishing Kels Quilt.
This is the materials that Kel wanted for his new quilt for his bedroom.
The end result of those material became this. So next week hopefully I can get it quilted. It is hard at this time of year as my flower beds are calling along with many other things. Sandi

FINALLY... Completed a couple of projects...

New Kitchen

Some of asked for a sneek peek at the kitchen. It is hard to get the whole thing in one picture. So here is a few angles so hope you can visualize it.This is island that we can eat at if there is about 4-5 people otherwise we sit at the table.

It seemed to be a huge undertaking but we so glad we did it. We love the end result of having much more open space and work areas. As our family is growing we needed more space.
The living area wasn't done. Just new carpet. Thanks for stopping bye.

Now all of the other areas need up dateing. It is a never ending job for us it seems. So we will keep painting and changing. Well I have alot of painting to do and trims that need painting.Always lots to do. I said every Monday I would take the day and work on a room. Well that was fine but then a grand baby is born and I would rather hold and rock them instead.

This is the lastest Olson

Lynella Louise
She was born March 15,2010
The Proud parents are Wade and Tara
7 Lbs 1 oz
20 inches long
She is so much like her dad that it is hard for me to believe it. But probably Tara's family will see a lot of Tara in her. She is a sweetie. She was only about 5 hours when this picture was taken.
This is our grand children so far with there little cousin Isley.
The boys are still more in number but the girls are catching up.

Ashley had to take Kanya for a Dr Appt so Zara stayed with grandma to be her big helper. I miss my little helper but well maybe I don't. No she was a good help.

She was hoping for a few marshmallows.

Then she filled my muffin tins, so I'd be ready to fill them.

All and all they are great. We look forward to Friday night as we are having a boys night here. Reid and Mandy kids are coming for a sleep over.

Have to keep up with my daughter's...

I really not sure what to tell you.. I don't have any cool video's, or beautiful art but I do have a new kitchen... I Will take some pictures and let you see it as soon as my rug gets put down in the living room and toe kicks get installed that is next Sat. But it is really nice having counters, drawers and a sink and all appliances to cook with again.. Now I have to start cooking again.groan!!!.. But after going a few months with not the greatest kitchen facilites we have tried all the fast food places and lots of restaurants looking for something different. But nothing beats home cooking and baking. I did decide one thing through all of this is, I wouldn't want to build a house. I don't think I would have a husband . I never have been good at deciding and as i get older it is even worse... You have to pick this and that and right now decide. That was really hard as I HAVE TO visulize what it may look like.. But I am so glad that we persevered and did our kitchen as now I can have more then 2 people in my kitchen with lots of space. Anyone coming for coffee and I WILL even bake something to go along with it. love to all Sandi
